An email from my Mom and my visual interpretation of what me and my brothers are to her.

    Happy Valentine’s Day everybody.

Virtual Validation: Who Likes to “Like” You?

Posted on by Mike in Posts | Leave a comment

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, WhoLikesToLikeYou discovers that one person who likes you the most and allows you to send a virtual valentine in appreciation.

All of us crave “virtual validation” of the content we publicly post on social networks. Because we feel the need for validation of our posts, we tend to evolve the content and style of our communication based upon the responses we receive and quality of responders. It’s as if we have a completely biased focus group on-hand to test our thoughts, creativity and personality in real-time.

As an example of our communication being evolved, think about the last time you posted something humorous and nobody responded (hey, I’ve been there) with a likecomment or share. Did the lack of response impact you? Did “humorous” posts you made the following week, month or even year look much different because of the earlier experience?

To those who like us regardless of our silly, boring or uninteresting posts, we say…Happy Valentine’s Day!
