Parents role of establishing rules for use of cell phones at dinner, in private and especially during family time can prove contentious.
Consider however, appropriate times when rules can be relaxed in order to actually keep kids plugged in. Not for the purpose of avoiding another argument, but for utilizing devices to actually enhance family experiences by guiding the content. Done right, teenagers will have ample opportunity to open up instead of close off.
